Track Developer Progress Using Overview Dashboard

The Overview tab provides SkillUp administrators with a clear, actionable view of developer progress throughout the upskilling journey. With insights into onboarding, engagement, and certification trends, the dashboard helps administrators track skill development at scale.
Intended audience
This feature is intended for the following users with SkillUp administrator access:
Learning and development (L&D) professionals
HR and talent leaders
Team managers responsible for internal upskilling initiatives
Tracking developer progressĀ
To track developer progress:
Log in to SkillUp using your administrator credentials.
Go to the Overview tab in the left navigation panel.
Review the top-level funnel metrics for each stage:
Invited Developers
Activated Developers
Engaged Developers
Certified Developers
Use the date filter in the top-right corner to view progress by time periods (For example, Last week, Last month, or Last quarter).
Explore certification and skill-specific breakdowns to understand where developers are making progress in their upskilling journey.
Scroll down to view:
Manager-level tracking
Onboarding trends
Certification trends
Click the export button to download dashboard data for reporting or deeper analysis.
Common use casesĀ
A SkillUp administrator tracks weekly or monthly engagement across teams and identifies roles with the highest certification rates.
A people leader uses the funnel view to monitor how many invited developers have become engaged.
An L&D professional downloads engagement and certification data to measure internal mobility aligned with upskilling goals.
Best practices
To get the most of the Overview tab:
Use the time filters to monitor activity trends across different time periods and align them with internal initiatives or campaigns.
Monitor funnel drop-offs to identify friction points where additional support or communication may improve engagement.
Known limitations
Funnel card drill-downs are only available when the All Time filter is applied.
